About me

Hi, my name is Nhi, I’m the co-owner of Lux Nails, I specialize in acrylic and strictly do acrylic nails only at Lux. I only offer Gel Manicure and Dipping powder service to my regular customers that have been getting acrylic nails from me and need to take a break by switching to gel manicure/ dipping powder temporarily.


I keep my own online booking separate from the salon, therefore, all booking and cancelling will go through me directly on my Instagram, NOT LUX. You can contact me via IG: nails_bynhi

Setting my own rules and policy help me run things smoothly and to keep a respectful relationship with my customers. Thank you for taking the time to review my policy below and for trusting me with your nails. 

MY POLICIES

1. Other nails shop/ nail technician's work
•   I take pride in my work, therefore, I DO NOT fill, or work over other people's work due to the differences in methods, preparation, application, and products used by the previous nail tech/ other salons. 


• I DO NOT offer soak off/ acrylic removal service for new clients for the same reason above. Please make sure to come with bare nails if you’re a new client, OR if your current nails weren’t put on by me. 


2.  Booking & deposit​


•  A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $20 is required at booking and will be applied toward your nails service on the day of your appointment. A processing fee of 3.5% + .30c will be added to your deposit total that goes toward the card processing company. 


• If you're booking 2 or more appointments, please submit the request separately for each appointment. 

• The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-TRANSFERABLE if you were to cancel for any reason.


• Appointments are not considered officially booked until you receive a confirmation text to your phone number, or an acceptance email. Please make sure your email and phone number are provided correctly when booking. 


• The remaining balance will be paid at check out after your service is completed. 

 • A 2% processing fee will be added to your total when you pay the remaining balance with CREDIT/DEBIT CARD. 


• As a courtesy, you will receive an automated reminder text 26HRS prior to your appointment, please be sure to REPLY “ YES” to confirm your appointment to let me know that you are still coming to your appointment for sure. If you are unable to make your appointment, please don't hesitate to communicate with me by responding to the reminder text number if you need to cancel.

• If you don’t confirm your appointment BY 7PM the same day after the second reminder text got sent out, your appointment will be considered "CANCELLED" & your deposit will be FORFEITED. As I sometime have a wait list of clients that would want to get in if there's any cancelation, a prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

3. Late policy
• If you believe you are running late to your appointment, please notify me immediately with your estimated arrival time frame. 
• Please keep in mind, if you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be automatically cancelled as I will no longer have enough time to complete your service before my next appointment.


4.  Cancellation/ reschedule policy​

• Deposits will not be refunded for all cancelations. Your appointments are very important to me, and it is reserved personally for you. I understand sometime schedule adjustments are necessary, therefore I respectfully request appointments be cancelled or reschedule at least 24HRS before your scheduled appointment time. This ensures that I can make appropriate arrangement to reschedule your appointment while also giving other clients the opportunity to fill your cancelled spot!

 If you fail to provide a cancellation/ reschedule notice at least 24 HRS before your appointment, I will require the FULL AMOUNT OF THE SERVICE BASE PRICE AS A DEPOSIT in order to book again.

• Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrival, missed appointments, and any result of forfeiture of deposits. 


5.  Guarantee
• My acrylic nails are guaranteed for 5 days after your appointment; excluding breakage! If you lose an enhancement or notice chips, lifting in the first 5 days, please contact me ASAP to schedule a free repair.

• Repair after 5 days or for breakage, tears, corner breaks are $5 AND UP/each nail (depending on if that nail has a design that needs to be redrawn again)

Please remember, nails are jewels, not tools. Be kind to your nails and they will look beautiful for weeks after your service.

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO:

Rude, mean, or disrespectful people.

Anyone more than 10 minutes late for an appointment. 

 Anyone has multiple cancellations at short notice. (less than 24HRS before appointment)

Badly bitten nails or too short to work with. If you do bite your nails, please send me a picture of your nails to see if I’m able to work with them BEFORE BOOKING. 
Anyone with a nail condition I suspect may be contagious.
• Anyone with open or infected wounds on the nail area.
• Anyone in ill health that I suspect may be contagious.
